Opa Comes for a Visit

Opa met Nolan for the first time. He was surprised that Nolan was already so big in just 8 weeks time. Opa expected to see a newborn sized baby. Nolan's middle name "John" is named after Opa.

Our Christmas Tree

We got to choose our own tree to cut down and bring home for Christmas. Here is Papa and Emma showing off the tree we picked. We decided to take some family photos like last year.

Emma got to help mommy decorate the tree.

Nolan is 2 months Old

He is already 23 inches long and 13 pounds. He is growing so quickly and is beginning to smile.

Emma is 22 months Old

...and enjoys jewelry! Daddy is disgusted with that realization.

Emma started potty training. As you can see, she is not thrilled. She started being allergic to baby wipes and possibly diapers. Mommy and Daddy said she was only a couple of months shy of two years old so maybe it would work instead of dealing with cloth diapers and wash cloths. Emma has had some progress, but the excitement has worn off.

Emma has become a big helper in many ways; helping with changing Nolan's diaper, doing laundry, and cooking. Here she is helping Nana.

Friends

Mommy had her friend Melissa over and she brought her two children to play with us.

This is Cameryn, Nolan's new friend. Cameryn is 5 weeks older than Nolan.

Of course you have met Aubryn before. Emma enjoys playing with her and Mommy says that they are good playmates learning to share and getting along well with each other.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at Nana and Papa's house. Nolan slept most of the day.

Emma got to help Nana make the meal. She even got to wear an apron just like Nana.

Our First Family Outing

We, as a family of four now, went for a walk around our neighborhood. we strolled for about a mile enjoying the fresh air. Nolan slept and Emma enjoyed having her brother sit next to her.

Newborn and Family Pictures

This year we decided to pay for professional pictures. Nolan was 11 days old when these pictures were taken. It was so convenient to have the photographer come to our house. She brought all of her back drops with her.

Emma at 21 Months

Emma is a great big sister. She helps mommy a lot with running to get a blanket, burp cloth, diaper, etc. She loves her little brother and wants to play with him. She also has learned already to blame him for things he did not do. For example, while I was nursing Nolan, Emma's Lego tower she created fell over and she said "careful Nolan". Emma is becoming a helper in the Kitchen and with laundry now too.

Emma does get a bit jealous at times too, though. When Nolan is being held Emma wants to be held by that person too.

She also wants to use whatever Nolan uses.
