My First Thanksgiving...

...was full of family. 25 people to be exact. I got to be held by so many people who love me. Mommy was not sure how I would do without normal naps and with family wanting to see me and hold me, but I did great. Mommy and Daddy were quite impressed. Of course I would do great being the center of attention-who would not like that!

Acting Like Grown Ups

First, my friend Aubryn and I went to Mimi's Restaurant. I had apple sauce (my favorite) and she had sweet potatoes.

Then we went shopping for good deals at target. Our moms are teaching us already how to get the most for the least amount of money... literally. We mostly bought stuff from the dollar section in the front of the store.

Finally, after a long day, we drove our tired bodies home.

Nine Months Old

I crawl really good now. I am so fast and like to crawl from room to room. Mommy and I like to play chase, crawling. I laugh hysterically when mommy catches me. I pull my self up to stand with all the furniture and can walk around some of the smaller furniture. I have begun to like the gold fish mommy has had since teaching Kindergarten. I crawl over to where the tank is and pull myself up to watch it swim. Daddy has decided it is time to fix a 100 gallon tank a friend gave us so I can watch lots of fish. I also had my 9 month check up. The doctor said I am smart and healthy, but not growing like I should. In fact, I have been loosing weight from being mobile. At 8 months I finally decided to eat solid foods except mashed potatoes, but that hasn't been enough. I may need to go on formula if in six weeks I am still not growing/gaining weight.

The Petting Zoo

On November 9th Mommy and I went to the petting zoo in Oak Glenn with our friends Jaime and Charlotte. I especially liked the goats. We were too young to pet them so we just looked from the fence. We had so much fun.

My New Outfit

Aunt Beccy and Uncle Eric gave me a new outfit. It is so soft, cuddly, and warm. I loved showing it off. Thank you Aunt Beccy and Uncle Eric.

Baby Dedication

On November 1st our church had a Baby Dedication and I got to be one of the babies dedicated. My mommy and daddy love me so much that they wanted to make a vow in front of the church that they will do their best to pray for me and teach me about God. Mommy has written the prayer below so that as a family we can look back at the blog and remind each other the importance of this day.

"Lord God, we thank you for our daughter, Emma. As her parents, we will love her in a way that honors You. We commit to teach her about You and how to live a life of purpose through biblical principles. We recognize our responsibility to talk to her about spiritual matters, and promise to direct her to rely on You. We commit to protect her from harm as best as we can and to provide for her needs. We also dedicate ourselves to pray for her all the days of our life."

Psalm 103:17-18 "The steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments."

My friends, Charlotte and Aubryn, came to our church to see the occasion and have lunch at our house. Here are some pictures of us.

Charlotte loves to give kisses, but I was not too sure about that. Her grandpa had so come rescue me.

Musical Table

My Friend Aubryn and I are beginning to interact more as we get older. We played nicely together with Aubryn's musical table. A couple of times I did not like it that Aubryn changed the music and I would take her hand off the button, but she did not seem to mind. I even danced with the music sometimes.
