Nolan's New Skill

I discovered how to take my shirt off during nap time and as you can see I can take my socks off too.
I also like to cuddle with my sister giving her hugs and kisses when I am not trying to pull her hair or bite her.

Christmas Fun 2011

On December 21st we went Christmas light viewing with the Stone/Spriggs Family. It is amazing how much work went into decorating these homes. On Christmas Day we went to Nana and Papa's house to visit family and open gifts. After Christmas sometime we got to play with our new wagon and other toys. It has been so nice and warm, 60 degrees, that we have not needed to bundle up to play outside. We wish we could use our new hat and mittens we got for Christmas to play in the snow though. Maybe January will bring true winter weather.

Nolan's First Visit to the Barber Shop

The last hair cut I had Mommy and Daddy did it and it was the most difficult thing they have done. They had me watch a movie to try to distract me, but all I wanted to see were the scissors and hair clippers. Daddy had to hold my head still while Mommy tried to cut my hair. Needless to say, Mommy was so afraid that she would either poke my eye out with the scissors or cut my ears because I was a little wild man. Therefore, when it was time for me to get another hair cut I got to go to the Kid's Hair Shop. It was so easy for the woman and it only took 10 minutes. Mommy was amazed. Maybe they should buy me a cool car chair too!

Christmas Tree

First we went shopping for our tree.
This is our tree we found. It was eight feet tall!
This is Nana and Papa's tree. It was a huge twelve feet tall!
While we waited for our tree to be cut down, Nolan and I found the perfect branches to sweep the ground. It was a lot of fun to see the needles get cleaned up into piles.

Then the next day we decorated it. Mommy made sure we decorated it while Nolan was sleeping so we had only one hour to get it done and we made just in time.

My Very Own Gingerbread House

After watching Mommy and Nana make their gingerbread house, I wanted to make one too. Therefore, Mommy bought a kit that we put together (with some of Nana's help too).

Gingerbread house Contest

Mommy and Nana spent a couple of weeks making their first Gingerbread house from scratch for a contest at the Women's Christmas Breakfast. They were so excited because they won "Best of Theme" and got a $30 gift card. Here is their house.
While they created, I was doing my own creation decorating cookies. Here is my Christmas Tree Cookie.

Baby Hettinga # 3

Mommy says that she has a baby in her tummy. The baby is due on July 1st. That means Mommy is 9 weeks pregnant. She went to the doctor today and saw the baby's heartbeat. There isn't a picture of the baby though because the technician said she did not want to waste paper! How rude is that!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nana bought matching aprons. It was so much fun to help cook the thanksgiving meal. I helped Nana make the apple pie.
Nolan slept through dinner so here he is eating while we have dessert.
