The San Diego Safari Park

Daddy had to work in San Diego for the week so we went down to visit him and the next day we got to see animals from Africa. I told Nana the next day that I liked the ducks and rabbits the best though. They visited us while having a picnic lunch in the Safari Park.

The safari park also has a playground for toddlers and preschoolers. I enjoyed climbing on everything.

I was also able to go to the petting zoo. These animals look like deer, but they have some strange name instead.

It was also very exciting to see PINK birds! Mommy says they are called flemingos. At the end of the day we got to ride on a bus to see some of the animals up close, like the giraffes.

Two and a Quarter

I am building a bigger vocabulary everyday and at home I am a little chatterbox, but I am extremely shy once I am around anyone, but family. I love my brother and play well with him so far. I am 32 inches and 25 pounds. I am still quite small for my age, but Mommy says that is okay because Mommy does not have to keep buying me clothes. Daddy says it is good because he is lazy and wants to only lift light things. My brother is in trouble, he's huge!

I enjoy copying Mommy with most things she does. Here I am nursing my baby just like mommy with a boppy pillow and a rocking chair.

I also have a great imagination. I enjoy calling people on my play phone, making food for my family to eat with my toy kitchen, etc. I am playing music in the bathtub, singing songs. Mommy called me a rock star!

Gardening

Over the last month we have been working hard on our garden. Mommy tilled the ground and planted seeds, Daddy put up a greenhouse and laid down the drip system, and I planted my own little garden for making seedlings indoors.

This is what Nolan did each time we were outside planting. (Whoever invented baby monitors must love parents)

A 7 Month Old in the House

I am seven months old now and I am a little piglet, eating everything given to me. I am also able to get on my hands and knees and I can move one knee forward, but instead of crawling I fall on my face. I am a very fast roller though and already know how to torment my sister by grabbing her toys and pulling on her pant legs. I have learned to like the negative attention I receive from her and it makes me smile and laugh. Mommy is amazed that sibling rivalry already starts this young!

I am learning to eat some Puffs, but I do not have the skill quite yet to get them in my mouth.

Doing Dishes

I like to help Mommy and Nana with lots of house chores. This is my latest job I like to do.

Birthday Fun

Emma's friend, Aubryn, turned 2 and we all got to join in on the fun. Emma acted like a little girl instead of a toddler. She is growing up so fast. She was so independant playing with the girls, eating at the kids table, using the big girl potty, etc.

Even boys got to play at this Toy Story Themed Party!

Mother's Day Sweets

These cutie pies are the best sweets Mommy could ever want. Though we know Chocolate is a close second. Thanks for the most wonderful Mother's Day! Mommy thanks God over and over again for such little blessings (us of course) that have brought more joy to the home.

Enjoying a day with Friends

It was a nice day for a picnic with the Stone Friends.

Aubryn and Emma play so well together. Our Mommies are so happy!

Nolan and Cameryn are also starting to be interested in each other.
