I Am Sweet, but Destructive

I am so excited when the bathroom doors are left open. I am sneaky and quick. Here I am with toilet paper. Mommy is so glad the roll was almost used up anyway!
I have also learned how to climb into the bathtub. Did you know that bath toys are just as much fun even if there isn't any water for splashing?

Playing With Nana and Papa

On Thursdays Mommy and Daddy go to a couple's Bible Study so we get to have Nana and Papa come babysit us. This is what we sometimes do when they are gone!

An Emma Moment

This is how I like to watch a movie sometimes. It is nice and cozy.

I love my brother very much. I enjoy pulling him around in his wagon all over the house. I also like having my turn in the wagon too though. Mommy, Daddy, Nana, and Papa usually pull us around since Nolan can't quite pull me around the house yet.

Home Made Apple Treats

Each year we get to go to Nana's house and use their home grown apples to make apple sauce, apple butter, pies, etc. Here are several pictures of us coring apples. Even Auntie Ellie joined us this year.

Nolan Turned One!

I am now one! I have 6 teeth and eat almost anything given to me. The only foods I do not like so far are carrots, rice, and potatoes. I will eat all other vegetables, meat, and bread though. So far I still only say Mama and Dada. I enjoy playing with my new wagon, balls, and Emma's kitchen. It is always great to destroy anybody's Lego creation too! I do not go to the Dr. for my well visit until November so stay tuned for how tall and heavy I am. I am quickly catching up to my sister. I already wear 18 month clothes.
My birthday party was actually on the 15th so I got to pretend I was one a day early. Here I am opening my gifts. I smiled and got excited with every gift -even clothes, but I enjoyed reading the cards I got from friends and family the best.

Here I am taking my first bite of cake.
This is as messy as I got, not because I am a clean eat (see later picture) but because the cake just wasn't that tasty. After a couple bites I did not want anymore. This is my cake. Stater Brothers Grocery store made it for me. That is an edible picture of me by the way.

Mommy originally thought that a picture of me in a lion suit on the cake would have been cute since my party was a safari theme, but I cried with the outfit on me- I guess I won't be dressing up for the fall festival this year.
P.S. This is how messy I can really be when eating.

The Pumpkin Patch

We got to go to the pumpkin patch with our friends Charlotte and Miss Jaime. It was fun to see all the pumpkins and play on the Hay Bale Castle.

After our friends left for nap time Mommy let us stay a little longer and we went to the petting zoo. I was a good helper to Nolan as we petted the sheep and goats.

Modesto Trip September 29-October 3

We went on a vacation to visit Daddy's family. We missed taking most pictures of family and friends. We had so much fun with them that we couldn't remember to bring out the camera. Here are the pictures of our trip we did take though.
First as we were traveling up the 5 fwy to visit Aunt Wilma we stopped at a great park called Casa De Fruta. We had a picnic lunch, rode a train, had fun on a carousel, and panned for gold.

Here we are at Opa's house. Nolan and I are playing the Organ.
Then we went outside to look at the Almond trees. Uncle Harry helps Opa take care of the farm. The almonds are now all over the ground and Uncle Harry has been raking them up into piles. This is an Almond with its hull still attached. If you look hard enough at most of the pictures you can see the almonds have coated the ground.
Daddy grew up in this house. The barn is to the left of the house. Daddy does not like goats. He had too much goat cheese and goat milk growing up.
