Hiking

I went on My first hike on Saturday. My family and I hiked eight miles up to the top of Baden Powell and back. It was fun. I got to see so many trees, birds, and dogs. I was learning so much I took a couple of naps on the way. Here we are at the base of the trail. Papa and Nana came with us. They also brought their dog, Libby.

Daddy carried me the first two miles up and all the way down the mountain.

Then Mommy carried me the second two miles up the mountain.

Here we are, finally making it to the top.

Twins

My friend Aubryn and I wore the same outfit today. It was fun.

My hair is getting long enough to wear a small barrette. If you look hard you might see it.

Traveling to Arizona

This weekend Papa, Nana, Mommy, and I went to visit my Great Grandma and other family members. Here I am learning to drive a truck at one of our stops on the way out to Arizona.

On the way home we stopped at Cracker Barrel to eat. I got to sit in my very own chair.

Nana's Birthday

I went to Nana's Birthday dinner at PF Chang's on Tuesday. Grandma's birthday was actually on July 27th, but Nana and Papa were vacationing in Alaska without me so we had to wait to celebrate her birthday.

This is my Uncle Eric. He is a lot of fun. I can't wait until I am older and he can play tag and Hide and Go Seek with me.

This is my Aunt Beccy. When I am a lot older I hope she teaches me how to make/decorate cakes and other goodies because she is really good at it.

This is Mommy's special treat she can have at PF Chang's. Isn't it decorated so fancy! Mommy can never say no to this delicious addiction of rich chocolate.

Mommy's 15 Year Reunion

I got to go to the Wrightwood Country Club for my Mommy's Reunion. She graduated from Serrano High School in 1994. We had fun, but mommy is realizing she is getting kind of old.

This is Gail, a family friend. She is really nice and she has been a great baby sitter while my parents go to Bible Study on Wednesday nights. Grandma and Grandpa normally watch me, but they went on vacation for two weeks.

This is Libby, my grandparents' dog.

This swing has been here since my Mommy was a kid. She was a little afraid to sit on it because the ropes are pretty old.


My Mommy and I went for another Rick's Restaurant adventure with some of her teacher friends Deborah, Kerry, and Joy.

I Am 5 Months Old Today!

Mommy and Daddy are amazed with how much I have learned and grown since I was born. I weigh 15 pounds and I am 25 inches long. This means I have gained 8 pounds, 4 ounces and have grown 4 1/2 inches so far. I can stay sitting now and I roll all around my little play area. I could roll farther, but I can only roll one direction so I easily get stuck by the playmat arches or couch. Plus, it is a lot of work and I get tired out easily. I think my Mommy is the most impressed with the amount of sleep I give her now. She feels like she has energy again. I have been sleeping 9 to 10 hours now before I get hungry and wake up. Then I am so tired I fall back to sleep for another hour or 2. This means I do not take a morning nap. I am getting better at taking an afternoon nap though. Oh, and did I tell you that I moved into the nursery? I love my crib. It is so spacious! I can sprawl out and move all about.
