Another Month Has Gone By

I am now eight months old. I got my first cold, but my body fought well and I am healthy again. Papa taught me how to stick my tongue out. Now I stick it out at everybody. I also know how to wave to people. At church on Sunday I waved at anyone passing by me. It was so much fun. I have also had two really good days eating solid food. Yesterday I ate a TBSP and a bit of rice cereal and today I almost ate a whole jar of carrots. I ate happily too. I usually have to be forced to eat 5 bites because mommy was afraid I was not growing. The doctor told mommy that I like breast milk too much and I am too full for anything else. Therefore, she had to stop one feeding to see if I would get hungry enough to eat some solid food and so far it is working. I now weigh 17 pounds and 7 ounces. I am also 26.5 inches long.

We also went furniture shopping today. I got to ride in a fire truck just for kids.

Playing With Kittens

I went over to our friend Gail's house because her cat had six kittens and they are old enough now to be played with. The mommy cat let me play with them.

You can experience my first reaction to the kittens by watching the video.

Here are some other random pictures that have been taken over this last month. This is the first time I got to swing on a big outdoor swing.

I try to stand any chance I get.

My New Skill This Week

I can pull myself up now. Here is a video to prove it! I might have even taken a step or two--you can be the judge. Mommy is very optomistic and is excited. Daddy is a realist and says we are doomed because I am closer to being very independant and getting into everything I shouldn't.

I stood up in my crib and mommy caught me in action. I was supposed to be taking a nap, but I wanted to practice my new skill instead.

Here are a couple of other random pictures to share.

Visiting Daddy's Family

We got to drive six hours to Almond Country last weekend. Daddy grew up on an almond farm. Everyone was busy harvesting. Maybe when I am older I will get to experience harvesting like daddy. Sorry, Mommy forgot to take pictures of where Daddy lives. Here are some pictures of family I met. They are more important anyway.

This is my Uncle Harry he loves playing with me. He is good with Babies. I like him a lot and I know he loves me too.

This is my cousin David and second cousin Blake.

This is my Great Uncle Tony and second cousin Alyssa.

This is Grandpa.

This is Whitesocks, Milkshake, Drew, Lydia, and Rachel.

This is My cousin Robert and cousin Carol and my second cousins again-Drew, Rachel, and Lydia.
Here is my Great Aunt Janet. Mommy wanted me to mention that she is sorry for any mispelled names. Please correct her in an email and she will immediately fix this blog post.

Seven Months of Life

Today I am seven months old. I can crawl now. I have been eating solid food for a month and I still do not like it. Therefore, no cute eating pictures to show off. Mommy and Daddy finally decided that I have to eat 5 bites whether I like it or not. I eat at breakfast and dinner time, but I would rather just have breast milk. Here is a list of the foods I have tried so far: rice cereal, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, apple sauce, and pears.

I weigh 16 pounds and 7 ounces. I am still 25.5 inches long. I am making a whole bunch of noises, but the most exciting are mama, dada, and gu (for booger, daddy's special word). I now understand the words up, down, kiss, and hug because I can do these actions on demand. Sometimes I wave too, but I haven't done it on demand yet.

I Am Moving All Around Now!

Guess what I did today! The video says it all. Mommy and Daddy are very excited for me.

My Friends

I got to be with my friends again this week.  Charlotte came to my house for the first time on Monday.  We had fun, but I was so tired I slept through most of our play time.  Sorry Charlotte!

Today my friend Aubryn came over and we went swimming in the pool. Well, maybe we just splashed around, but we had a great time.
