A Day with Auntie Ellie

First we fed and pet the chickens.  Auntie Ellie's chickens are friendly.  She held them and gave them love from the first day they hatched and now they are the best chickens! 

 Then we went for a walk...yes even in California it gets cold.  This is what a drought looks like in winter/spring. 

Our Camping Trip

We went camping in Malibu From Friday to Monday.  It was our first true camping trip and we all had a great time.  We are already planning our next one. 

 

Here is our campsite with our very own kitchen and mansion.

On Saturday we spent the day at the beach.  We were so excited to see and touch the ocean.  It took Nolan the longest to warm up to touching the water, but Emma was out in the waves as fast as she could.

 Nolan liked playing in the sand and climbing the rocks the best.

On Sunday we went hiking.  We had a blast, though some of us were a bit worn out at the end and little Libby (the dog) got ticks.  We all had ticks on us as well, but nobody got bite by one.

Emma Turns 5!

I had a Minnie Mouse Party with my preschool friends.  We had a good time playing games, dressing up in princess outfits and eating lots of cake.

 

My favorites are still pink and purple, Minnie Mouse, and Thomas and Friends Wooden Train Tracks.  Building train tracks are a must everyday.  I am 41 inches tall and weigh 36 pounds.  I am the second smallest kid in my class.  I have done very well in preschool academically and socially.  I am definitely ready for Kindergarten. 

While Emma is at Preschool...

We invade her room and have boyish reading time on her tall comfy bed! Emma, we did not play with your very special toys we just looked...and maybe touched a little.

 

Our Little Gymnast

I am in the 4 to 6 year old level 1 class.  I am learning to be brave and try new things.   I am the smallest one in my class and it is hard to reach the bars because everyone is taller than me, but I am having a good time.

 

Nolan And Brandon Are Pals

 

We are beginning to enjoy more male bonding time since Brandon is getting older and Emma is at school a lot.  I like to wrestle with my little brother and make him laugh by being goofy.  I also like racing toys down the slide with him. 

 

Visiting Daddy's Family

We went to visit Daddy's family for New Years.  Here we are at Uncle Tony and Aunt Janet's Almond Orchard.  We got to ride on their quad sports through the trees.  Mommy had a hard time dealing with the fact that out here nobody wears helmets and kids drive tractors before they can reach the pedals. 

 

 Then we went to Opa`s home.  Uncle Harry showed us the goats and...

 We walked through the orchard climbing trees and inspecting almonds that were left from picking season.

Then we all went up to see Uncle Walter and Aunt Donna in Sacramento.

 

We needed a break from all the visits so we had a picnic at the park.
