Airplanes, Solid Food, and More

I went to the Doctor today and got my shots. Each time I do a little bit better. I only cried this time when I got poked with the shots, but stopped crying as soon as it was over. I did not get a fever either. The doctor said I am very healthy and developing well. He even said that I have very good social skills for my age. I am also 16 pounds and 3 ounces. I am 25 1/2 inches long. (Average for my age). I also say mom-mom a lot, which makes mommy very happy that I am getting closer to saying words one day. Now she is trying to get me to say da-da, papa, nana, and even "hi" even though I do not quite understand what I am saying yet. Daddy is trying to get me to say booger though. He thinks it would be great if booger was my first word.

On Monday I started rice cereal. At first I was scared of the spoon so mommy let me play with it a bit so I would be comfortable with my new experience of eating solid food.

I am also beginning to scoot on my belly, but I can only go backwards. I scooted about 10 feet before I got stuck in the corner. Papa came to encourage me to try to go forward instead, but going forward is still too hard for me right now.

On my mommy's birthday I went on my first airplane ride to Colorado. I did really well. I was a very happy baby and I smiled at everyone that I came in contact with. The flight attendants loved me and even though I am only 6 months old I still got a little rubber airplane that mommy kept for me.

Auntie Shawna I did take one United flight and the other US Airways because they partnered together so I still supported you. Love, Emma :o)
